Building work soon to start:

We plan to start work on Phase One of our major roof repairs in March. This will see the replacement of the roof over the community facilities at the west end of the church, the west end porches and toilets, the nave, and part of both the north and south transepts. As well as replacing the roof the opportunity is being taken to install insulation and replace rainwater goods. A list of grant giving trusts, companies and groups who have kindly helped fund this work can be found on our 'Development' page as can a link if you would like to make a contribution. 

Our Children are living in poverty!

79% of children living in our area are in poverty. How we to respond to this unaccetable situation?All we are doing through the Church and our project Narthex Sparkhill seems such a small drop in the bucket compared to the need.

Distribution of 12 tons of food.

Narthex Sparkhill - a charity based at St John's Church is distributing over 12 tons of donated food to refugees, asylum seekers and other needy people over Christmas.
